The Spoon-handle box is easy to
make, and it helps keeps jewelry
and other items from being lost.

  • 5 x 2 x 2-inch wood box (available at crafts stores)
  • Acrylic pain
  • Paintbrush
  • Buttons
  • 4 marbles
  • Epoxy glue
  • Hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks
  • Clear spray acrylic sealer
  • Child's spoon

Instructions:

1. Base-coat the wood box with a color of your choice. Let dry.

2. Spray the box with acrylic sealer. Let dry.

3. Turn the base of the box upside down and epoxy the marbles onto the four corners of the box (these will act as legs for the box). Let dry.

4. Determine the placement of the spoon on the box lid. If desired, epoxy buttons on the lid to support the spoon handle. Glue the child's spoon on the middle of the box lid. Let dry.
