Moss-Lined Basket
- Vine basket
- Dried lavender buds
- Shallow container
- Dried green moss
- Dried flowers such as pink glove amaranth and rosebuds
- Glue gun and hotmelt adhesive
1. Place the dried lavender buds in a shallow container, such as a plate. Working on a small area at a time, apply hotmelt adhesive to the rim of the basket, and roll it in the lavender buds. Continue gluing until the outside of the basket is covered in buds on the rim and to a depth of about 1 inch below the rim.
2. Spread the dried green moss to cover the inside of the vine basket, and spot-glue it in place, especially around the rim. Working with one flower at a time, arrange the dried flowers along the rim of the basket, tucking them in place or gluing them with hotmelt adhesive. If you simply tuck the flower stems into a wreath or basket without gluing them, you can change the flowers according to the season or replace them as necessary.
