Dinner Timeline

Up to a week ahead...
  • Make the Green Goddess Dip.

Up to four days ahead...

24 to 48 hours ahead...
  • Bake the Berry Fruit Pie.
  • Chop the onions, celery, and pickles for the New Potato Salad.

12 to 24 hours before dinner...
  • Make the New Potato Salad and refrigerate until serving.
  • Marinate the bratwursts in the beer, mustard, and chili mixture.
  • Slice the onions for the Bratwurst with Onions and assemble in foil packets with chili powder and butter for grilling.

45 to 60 minutes before sitting down to dinner...
  • Assemble the crudite or crackers on a tray to accompany the Green Goddess Dip.
  • Grill the Bratwurst and Onions.
