Invitation for a Hanukkah Gathering

Invite guests to join you for Hanukkah festivities with this handsome invitation.

Invite guests to join you "under your roof" for Hanukkah festivities. This handsome invitation includes a memorable quotation, of your choosing, to set the tone even before the party gets under way.

Tools and Materials
  • House pattern (see download link below)
  • Vellum
  • Card stock in silver, gold, and several shades of blue
  • Silver minibrads

Instructions

Download, print, and cut out the house pattern. Use the pattern to cut the vellum. Using a background sheet with guide lines, hand-print a meaningful quote -- along with details of the party -- on the vellum. (Or use a computer and vellum designed for use with an inkjet printer. Cut the house shape after the printing has dried completely.)

For the background, cut a rectangle of silver card stock, nine candles of varying sizes and shades of blue, and gold flames.

Slant the candles and the flames as desired before adhering them. Attach the vellum house on top of the design by securing it with silver minibrads.

To finish, mount the entire piece on a slightly larger piece of blue card stock.
