With its three-dimensional lineup of silvery stars, this contemporary Hanukkah card stands out from the crowd. Vellum, card stock, plastic mesh, and a few other easily obtained craft supplies are all you need to create this card in less than an hour.

• Blue card stock
• Star punch (or cut stars from blue card stock)
• 6-pointed star punches in two sizes (or stars cut from dark blue vellum)
• Embossing ink and powder
• Cream card stock
• Silver leafing pen
• Blue chalk
• Adhesive foam
• Light blue vellum
• Silver plastic mesh
• Glue

Cut and fold a 10-x-6-1/4-inch piece of blue card stock in half lengthwise.

Punch three stars out of blue card stock and cover with ink from an embossing ink pad. Sprinkle silver embossing powder over the stars and heat-emboss.

Cut a strip of cream card stock taller than the stars and the width of the card. Use a silver leafing pen to gild the edges of the strip. Shade the whole strip with blue chalk.

Use adhesive foam to adhere the stars to the strip; mat with blue card stock. Cut a large piece of light blue vellum and adhere it to the card. Place a smaller piece of silver plastic mesh on top of the vellum. Mount the matted strip on the card in the center of the mesh.
