Quick and Easy Painted Pumpkins for Halloween

Bird pumpkin in birdbath

Creepy Crow

When summer fades to autumn and songbirds start to fly south, a birdbath becomes a perfect perch for a pumpkin painted with a macabre crow. Choose any number of eerie silhouettes for your outdoor display: black cat, bat, witch, or spider (to name a few), then apply a coat of varnish to protect the pumpkin from the elements. Tufts of garden moss help keep the pumpkin stable.
