1. Draw a 24-inch circle on screen. Wearing gloves, cut out circle. Make a cut from the outside edge to center. Shape screen into a cone; trim away excess. Open up screen. Encase cut edges of screen with cloth tape. Rub with spoon.
2. In a well-ventilated work area, cover work surface with newspapers. Spray-paint both sides of the screen with cherry wood tone paint. Let dry. With curved edge at top, roll screen into a cone shape. Overlap straight edges slightly, and clip top edges together with a paper clip. Cut small lengths of wire, fold in half, and insert through overlapped area. Twist ends together. Repeat every inch to secure cone shape. Remove paper clip.
3. Spray artificial leaves gold. Let dry. Glue leaves around top of cone. Wire large bead to tip. Using needle-nose pliers, twist one end of the copper wire into a small loop. With hands, twist wire into flat concentric circles around loop. Leave the last 8 inches at the end straight. Pull spiral up so the circles spread apart to form a cone. Insert screen cone and adjust wire to fit. Bend 4 inches of the top out to a 45-degree angle. Use pliers to shape wire into a circle for a hanger. Fill cone as desired.
