Waffle Bowl May Baskets
Day basket and make it edible.
- Waffle bowl (look for them with the ice-cream cones at the grocery store)
- Toothpick
- Glitter stem or wired star garland
- Curling ribbons (optional)
- Colored plastic wrap (optional)
- Treats
- 4 x 4 inch-diameter paper lace doilies (optional)
1. Use a toothpick to make small holes in opposite sides of the waffle bowl, about 3/4 inch below the top edge. Enlarge the holes with the toothpick to accommodate a wired garland or glitter stem.
2. For the handle, coil a length of star garland to measure about 1/4 inch. Insert 1/2 inch at the ends of the star garland or the glitter stem into the holes in the waffle bowl; fold ends up on the inside of bowl to secure the handle. Trim the handle with curling ribbon as desired.
3. If desired, wrap the treats in colored plastic wrap and tie with curling ribbon or star garland. If desired, line the bowl with doilies. Set the wrapped treats in the bowl.
