Egg Carton Bird Decorations

Adorn a pot of spring flowers with these oh-so-adorable birds made from recycled egg cartons and plastic eggs. Paint single egg-carton cups and wooden dowels with bright colors; let dry. Glue each dowel to the back of an egg cup, then glue a plastic egg into each one. Add a matching feather to the back of each bird, and paint a corner of the egg cup gold or yellow to give your bird a beak.

Spring Pom-Pom Flower Decoration

Faux spring branches and homemade pom-poms crafted from yarn are the perfect Easter accent for a side table or a mantel. Dress up a mason jar with ribbon, fill with small pebbles or birdseed, and stick in branches. Learn how to make your own yarn pom-poms with our step-by-step tutorial, available below.

Easter Bunny Egg Cups

Dress up plain wooden eggs with colorful felt hats and ears with this adorable Easter decorating project. First, secure a white wooden egg to the bottom of an egg cup with a dab of glue; let dry. Draw two eyes on the front of the egg, and paint facial features onto the cup. Get our pattern for the hat and ears, available below, and cut out. Trace the half circle onto a piece of colored felt and the ears onto a piece of white felt; cut out. Fold the hat in half, and glue the flat edges together; let dry. Flip right side out and fold up 1/2 inch to form a brim. Glue the white felt ears to the inside of the brim.

Framed Paper Easter Bunnies

Hop into Easter decorating with these oh-so-easy framed bunnies. All you need is 6-inch-square window boxes, fabric, scrapbook paper, and our bunny pattern (available below). Trace the pattern onto various colors of paper; cut out. Use adhesive to secure cutouts to 6-inch squares of patterned fabric, and set the fabric squares in each window box.

Easter Egg Embroidery Art

Simple embroidery patterns make this colorful Easter egg decoration a breeze. Get our patterns, available below, and print out. Put a 12-inch-square piece of thin white fabric over the pattern, and use a pencil to lightly transfer the design. Center the fabric on the inner embroidery hoop, and secure the outer hoop over it. Trim excess fabric with scissors, and hot-glue to the inside of the inner hoop.

Now you're ready to stitch your egg design! Stitch the border of the egg first, and follow with the egg details (this is so you can tie each end to border). When you're finished stitching, tie a bow on top of the hoop to conceal the screw and hang.

Easter Egg Wall Display

For festive and fun Easter decor, display blown-out quail eggs (available online) in an arrangement of shadow boxes or display frames. Start with springy pastel construction paper, and adhere a few eggs for an adorable holiday decoration you won't want to take down.

Springtime Door Decoration

Gather a bouquet of flowers -- real or silk -- into an umbrella for a door display full of country charm. Tie a ribbon around the umbrella to hold the bouquet in place, and add a few dyed, blown-out eggshells for extra Easter fun.

Editor's Tip: If using real flowers, create a simple vase with water in a plastic resealable bag. Secure at the base of the flower stem with a rubber band.

Easter Branch Bouquet

Hot-glue several pink flowers onto branches for a fresh Easter look. This is a great, long-lasting alternative to a floral spring arrangement -- or a complementary piece!

Editor's Tip: To secure the vase -- and to make it more festive -- fill with glass pebbles, decorated eggs, or Easter candy (just don't plan on eating it!).

Carrot Table Runner

A multitude of orange-print strips combines to make this seasonal table runner. You'll finish it quickly, because it's pieced and quilted at the same time by quilting as you go.

Potted Plant Display

Nothing blooming outside yet? Create a garden view with an improvised indoor window box in time for Easter. Line up small potted plants or flowering bulbs on a sill, then fence them in with wire garden-bed edging propped on the sill or stapled to the underside.

Paper Easter Basket Decoration

Use a paper shredder to make an Easter basket centerpiece. To create a paper nest, shred long sheets of kraft paper or holiday wrapping scraps, and staple each end together. Add a length of floral wire, hold one end of the strips in each hand, and twist and wrap it into a nest. Clip a few strands with scissors for a loosely woven look. If needed, add a dab of glue to keep the strands in place. Lay real or faux eggs inside to finish the Easter decoration.

Yellow Daisy Candleholders

Place a rubber band around a votive holder and tuck in a bright marguerite daisy, then place in a small dish with water. March a line of these down the center of a table or place one at each setting for a fresh Easter decoration.

Framed Easter Postcard

Turn a simple postcard into seasonally sweet artwork. Look for vintage Easter postcards at flea markets or find reproductions at bookstores. Adhere them to decorative paper, then frame. Attach a ribbon or string of beads to hang with style.

Spring Curtain Decor

Give the window curtains a little springtime sprucing by replacing curtain hooks with colorful ribbons. Be sure to tie the loops loosely enough to allow for easy sliding.

Easter Butterfly Tree

Inside or out, this tree signals that spring is in the air. Use twine to hang paper butterflies on branches -- these are made from note cards, but you can also cut butterfly shapes out of cardstock. For dimension, outline edges of the cards with acrylic crafts paint. Insert branches into foam in a garden container. Silk flowers glued to some branches and moss topping the container finish the look.

Pastel Easter Dish Display

Easter decorating can be as simple as arranging pastel or flower-print china on a bookcase. Add a bowl of fruit or a vase of flowers for extra springtime cheer.

Tea Time Flower Display

Red tulips and white roses are awe-inspiring inside a stacked cup and kettle. Using two different colors adds interest, while the matching green dishes keep the display cohesive.

Simple Easter Mantel Display

Cut plant sprigs and place them in vases and bottles for a simple mantel display that you can keep up throughout spring.

Editor's Tip: Choose vases of various sizes and colors to create an interesting arrangement.

Unique Easter Centerpiece

With this diminutive woodland display on your brunch table, you might feel a little like Alice in Wonderland. Combined with miniature daisies, fanciful papier-mache toadstools from a crafts store decorate a bed of moss on a footed cake plate. Use a thin layer of floral foam under the moss to hold the flowers and mushrooms in place.

Twig Easter Nest Centerpiece

Celebrate Easter and spring simultaneously with this pretty table topper. Simply purchase a faux bird's nest online or at a crafts store (or build your own), and fill it with plastic eggs for a quick centerpiece.

Flower Easter Cups

Form a flowerlike favor by nesting a mini paper baking cup inside a standard-size one. Perch both on an egg cup and fill with an Easter treat. For a place card, prop a tag between the liners.

Flowers-&-Vegetables Display

Carrots and lettuce leaves arranged around the inside of the wide vases create a unique look. Keep the vegetables propped up by placing a smaller vase inside the larger one and laying the vegetables in between. Wrap string around the vases for a homespun accent. Place a decorative bird or bunny nearby to give the display an Easter touch.
