Cinderella's Carriage Pumpkin

- Short, wide pumpkin
- Sharp knife
- Spoon or ice cream scoop

- Wood disk approximately 3 imches across
- Wood heart approximately 2-1/2 inches high
- 2 decorative wood pegs
- Small piece of gold fringe
- Birthday candles
1. Download the free pattern for this project. (Downloading requires Adobe Acrobat.)
2. Use a sharp knife to cut a circular shape on top of pumpkin and remove the lid. Scoop out the insides of the pumpkin.
3. Use a pencil to draw in arched windows and to mark the position of the wheels and seat. Cut out the windows. Cut an opening for a door on the back of the pumpkin if desired.
4. Trace the wheel pattern onto tracing paper. Cut out and trace onto cardboard twice. Cut out the cardboard shapes. In a well-ventilated work area, cover the work surface with newspapers. Spray-paint the wheels gold. Let dry. Paint gold glitter onto the wheels. Let dry. Glue gold braid around each wheel. Secure each wheel in place with an upholstery tack.
5. Trim all the openings with gold braid. Hold in place with tacks.
