Dreaming of a White Christmas
Ways to Warm Up the Look
Continue the look throughout the house by using lots of greenery and white poinsettias to contrast with the monochromatic scheme.
Warm up a white decorating scheme with lights that glow with a hint of yellow. Oil lamps, for example, and candles on the table or mantel cast light with just the right touch of warmth.
Natural elements, such as twigs and leaves, also add a touch of color; their warm tones and organic shapes contrast beautifully with white, formal items. Handmade papers cut and folded into holiday shapes are another warm winter accent.
In a guest bedroom, for example, an airy eucalyptus wreath filled with handmade paper cornucopias adds just a touch of holiday cheer to the room.
