Dreaming of a White Christmas
Even without snow in the forecast, you can guarantee a white Christmas with light, bright, romantic decor.
Think Snow
There are few things more perfectly serene than a gently falling snow, and that's the guiding philosophy behind creating a white holiday décor.
And the best place to start is with decorating the tree. Wrap the tree in white feather-boa garlands (available at crafts stores), and fill in the gaps with frilly feathery plumes that create the look of an early morning frost.
Be careful, however, as white can visually flatten out a room. Add textural interest by using a wide array of materials, such as fringed and crystal ornaments, on the tree.
Wrap packages in decorative handmade papers and put them in opaque vellum gift bags to form a blanket of white beneath the tree.
