Half a cola bottle makes an
excellent sand scoop.
1. Remove the label, cut and decorate. Remove the label from the 2-liter bottle. Ask an adult to cut the bottle in half. Decorate both halves with puff paints.
2. Scoop to make a sandcastle, or use it as your underwater eye. At the beach, the bottom makes a perfect sand castle form. Or, lower it under the water and take a look at the life down there. Funnel sand and water through the top half to create designs in the sand.
3. Don't forget to rinse out and recycle the "scoops" when you're done using them.
