You can purchase Harry and his friends' looks at online or traditional costume stores. Or you can perform a little magic of your own and transform your child into a Potter-inspired wizard by outfitting him (or her!) in a long black robe or a black cape over black pants and a black top.

No Harry Potter wannabe is complete without black, round-framed eyeglasses, a magic wand, and a sorcerer's hat. You can purchase one or conjure up your own by folding construction paper or poster board into a cone shape and securing with glue or staples. Don't forget to say the magic words!
