Halloween Hat with a Secret

Keep this trick under your hat. For a friendly Halloween prank, sit back and watch as friends and family discover what's hidden under the hat.

• Papier-mache round box (about 8-10 inches tall, 5 inches in diameter)
• Black paint
• Paintbrush
• 12x12 sheet of black cardstock
• Scissors
• Scrap of Halloween paper (to line inside of lid)
• Glue
• Black embellishments (ribbon, flowers, etc.)
• Faux Crow

1. Paint the inside and outside of the papier-mache box and lid black; let dry.
2. Cut a large circle from black cardstock to use as the hat brim.
3. Line the inside of the lid with a scrap of Halloween paper.
4. Glue the box lid, with the top down, to the center of the cardstock circle. Fold the sides of the brim up to give it a curve and adhere embellishments using glue.
5. Place a crow inside the lid and fit the box into the lid.
