Grown-Up Fairy Princess

Just because you're grown up doesn't mean you have to give up your secret dream of being a fabulous fairy, creating magic with just a sprinkling of fairy dust! Whether your idea of an ideal fairy is Tinker Bell or a woodlands nymph, you'll be right in style this year.

Costume stores and Web sites are stocking plenty of fairy costumes in various colors and styles. Prefer to whip up your own? Wear tights, a body suit (or leotard), and a flirty, filmy skirt. On your feet, wear ballet slippers (pink, black, or white, depending on your color scheme) and on your head, wear a sparkly headband, tiara, or a garland of flowers.

Create your own magic wand by wrapping a wooden dowel in ribbon and hot-gluing it in place. Add a few ribbon streamers coming from the top. The finishing touch: A pair of fluttering wings. Now you're ready to go make magic!
