Prairie Coneflower
A favorite of prairie wildflower plantings, yellow coneflower lives only a few years but reseeds prolifically. It blooms in late summer with yellow flowers and interesting brown centers. It attracts birds and butterflies and is a nice flower to cut for casual bouquets. Grows 1 to 4 feet tall, depending on the species.
