Shared Property Line Bed

This bed sits directly on a property line, where it is shared by neighbors. It would also look good as an island bed in a front lawn or along a driveway. From the oval bed of perennial flowers rises a solitary tree; choose either the white-barked birch shown or one of the four alternative trees, each lovely in its own way. Give this garden a golden glow by substituting black-eyed susans for the purple coneflowers and 'Anthea' yarrow for the 'Appleblossom' yarrow. Best in sun or partial shade.
