Frosted Bird Basin

Welcome birds with this concrete and colored-glass basin.

Materials

Here's an easy one-hour project that's pretty enough to take center stage.

If kept filled, this simple bird basin will be well appreciated by birds year-round. Our instructions produce an 18-to-20-inch basin. You don't need a fancy mold. You make the basin by scooping a hole in the ground and using the earth as a mold.

Tools:

  • Wheelbarrow
  • Hoe
  • Shovel
  • Rubber gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • Dust mask
  • Spray bottle

What You Need:
