Description

This favorite annual comes in a variety of heights, colors, and flower shapes. The tallest may reach 3 to 4 feet, while the shortest are only 6 to 12 inches.


Soil and Light

Zinnias like hot weather and full sun.


Planting

Sow seed outdoors when temperatures are warm, they should germinate in 4 to 5 days and grow quickly. Or plant established nursery seedlings outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Space 6 to 12 inches apart, depending on the type.


Special Helps

There's a size and flower shape for nearly every sunny spot. Remove faded flowers.
