Test Garden Panorama Key

The Better Homes and Gardens Test Garden is located on the Des Moines, Iowa, campus of Meredith Corporation, publisher of Better Homes and Gardens magazine and dozens of other lifestyle publication.

This interactive tour uses Quicktime VR technology to let you view 360-degree panoramas of the garden grounds. If the tour links don't work for you, you may need to download the free player. See the link at the bottom of this page for details.

1. The Central Plaza and Fountain

This scene was photographed just inside the main entrance to the garden. Click the link below to view the panorama. Click and drag your mouse on the panorama to change the view.

2. View from the Deck

A small wooden deck in the southeast corner of the garden often serves as a platform for outdoor photography.

3. West Knoll

The garden is divided into east and west halves by the central plaza. This panorama was taken from the small hill in the center of the west section.

4. Cutting Garden and Shrub Walk

Located in the west half of the Test Garden, the cutting garden features flowers like yarrow and butterfly weed that offer long seasons of bloom and long life in the vase. The nearby shrub walk displays a broad spectrum of forms, colors and textures.
