Blue Hues in the Garden

When plotting a garden of blue hues, consider some of these flowers.
  • Colors from red through blue on the color wheel work well together. These harmonizing colors include red, red violet, violet, blue violet, and blue and all their tint variations, from intense to pastel.
  • Accent a blue garden with yellow, red, pinks, and white.
  • Plant at least two-thirds of the garden with flowers of the blue theme color. The remaining one-third of your garden can be accent colors in soft pastels.
  • If you plant flowers of an intense color as an accent, you will need only a few blossoms here and there to relieve the sameness of your blue garden.
