Plastic and foam planters are starting to rival their natural counterparts for looks. The main advantages of the new materials are low price, longevity, and light weight. The later may make toppling a problem for tall plants, but it also makes it possible to handle large containers, which weigh much less than concrete or ceramic pots of similar size.
