Window Treatment in an Hour

Traditional-style window treatments needn't be fussy or difficult to produce. This easy-sew valance gets you the look with minimal skills and less than an hour's time. The valance itself is a simple lined rectangle of exquisite fabric.

Detail and more sophistication are added with rich cording and tassels in a complementary color. The best fabric choice is one with a pattern that can be fully appreciated in one-third the window height. Use the valance at a window alone, or tuck a shade or blind beneath it.
