Store Knives Safely
Keep your knives and
your chopping block tidy
with this custom storage
unit.
A simple rack is built into a top drawer to house all the knives out of the way but still within reach. Fit a piece of 2-inch-thick lumber inside the drawer, leaving room for the knife handles. Then, cut slits into the wood that are wide enough for the knife blades. (Serated blades need a wider slit.) A chopping block can slip into the drawer on top of the knife rack.
