The Perfect Craft Cabinet

Transform an ordinary cabinet into a place to stash all your craft supplies.

Create a new home for hobby and sewing projects. This ordinary cabinet was transformed into a crafter's paradise with a few simple touches. A slide-out printer tray and adjustable shelf find new use as fabric storage. Fabrics stay clean yet visible in clear plastic storage bins; small remnants, quilting squares, and needlework-in-progress stack on the shelf above. Organize smaller items in the drawers using plastic dividers. For all your magazines, pattern books, and other reference materials, use magazine files or simply place them along the top of the armoire. Keep buttons and other small embellishments in labeled jars lined up on a high shelf. A hanging rack just below displays carded fasteners, hook-and-loop disks, and more.

Paper Tray

Where most people keep their keyboard, store rolls of delicate art and wrapping papers. The shallow shelf glides out when you need to survey your stash, but its front lip contains the tubes until you're ready.

Door Display

Glue magnetic sheets on the doors and use magnetic clips to show off small creations or tiny inspirations.

Ribbon Rod

Keep your spools of ribbon, string, and jute organized with the help of paper towel rods. Use bracket-mounted wooden dowels to hang inside one door, then slide your ribbon onto the rod.
