A mix of geometric, organic, and ethnic patterns gives the family room a playful persona. With limited space in this Manhattan apartment, where the floor plan called for a formal dining room the homeowners chose to create a casual space for relaxation and covered existing sofas in durable brown corduroy.
The sheep painting was purchased on one of the couple's trips to Santa Fe. The homeowner's father designed the coffee table in the 1970s; the wire chairs are also from her childhood home.
To make the space fit for the family, the homeowners existing sofas were covered in durable corduroy. A light blue trim adds a bit of class to the cozy sofas.
Even in this small space, this kitchen's crisp white cabinets, dark wood floors, and beautiful granite countertops create an ultimate kitchen any cook would love.
In the kitchen, every surface and fabric can be wiped with a sponge, including faux-leather pads on the banquette, laminated David Hicks fabric on pillows, and a Roman shade in the dining nook. The antique dining table was a wedding gift.
A built-in desk area opposite the dining nook is command central for this family.
The artwork above the mantel is from the owner's childhood home. They were just waiting to find the perfect spot for it.
A disco ball-inspired chandelier takes center stage in the master bedroom, where chartreuse cut velvet covers the headboard, Roman shade, and bed skirt.
Customization such as the velvet upholstered headboard and custom molding that wraps the master suite brings this space to a new level of sophistication.
Punches of purple are at the heart of this vibrant kid's room. A cozy daybed saves space in this tiny room.
A classic monogram gives this kid's room an added bit of sophistication.
Velvet twin headboards, bed skirts, and a Roman shade boast pretty green hues in this super-sophisticated kids' room.

I love all these decorated rooms....really like the mirror on the bookcases. Color schemes are great.
