Make an Autumn Tabletop Tree
Add magic to the table with an all-white feather tree. Subtle additions -- ornaments fashioned from dried orange slices and pinecones -- allow the simplicity of the ivory tree to shine.

How to Make It
- Cut oranges into very thin slices.
- Lay the slices on a baking sheet and place in an oven set on the lowest temperature (125 to 200 degrees F.) for six hours.
- Remove oranges from the oven when the slices have only a slight amount of moisture left and are still orange in color.
- Lay the dried orange slices on paper towels overnight to absorb any extra moisture.
- Sort the pinecones by size from largest to smallest.
- Thread wire through the top of the pinecones and wire them to the tree with the largest cones on the bottom branches.
- Trim the wire ends.
- Continue wiring the pinecones to the tree in order by size.
- Push a short length of wire through each orange slice and kumquat.
- Wire the fruit to the tree and trim the wire ends.
