Splashy Baths
Is your bathroom's style all wet? Take note of these tips for creating an inviting bath awash with warmth and sophistication.

White Space
This bathroom heads down a dainty path with ruffled sheer white curtains at the windows. A field of white tiles around the tub is interrupted by hand-painted tiles featuring blue blooms; the border of hand-painted tiles is repeated around the doorway for more subtle pattern. A diminutive wood chair with a cane seat is a handy resting spot for toweling off feet. The chair and pale wood flooring introduce natural texture and tone.
Keeping things simple in an all-white space doesn't mean the room has to look austere. This small bath gently references an earlier era with beaded-board paneling, wide-slat wood blinds, and a large pedestal sink with a nickel faucet. And an old-fashioned rack for cooling pies stands in to hold towels and pretty accessories. A glass-front cabinet is softened with a shirred curtain mounted inside to conceal modern-looking toiletries.
