Faux Marble Finishing
White Marble
The flow of the grain is critical to the overall success of a marbleizing project. Bolder lines should follow a directional flow, while smaller, finer veins may branch in various directions. Notice how the veining wraps around the pedestal. When juxtaposing types of marble, alternate the direction of the veining for the appearance of separate stone components. For example, the veining in the frame of the standing panel moves upper right to lower left while the center panel veining travels upper left to lower right.
