Dotted Tween Room: See. Spot. Fun!
Make This Dotty Lamp
Transform a plain white lampshade into a quirky accent with the fast and simple steps in our project.
- Create a template by tightly covering a lampshade with butcher paper or a large sheet of art paper, folding it to fit snugly on the shade. Remove the paper; cut along folds. Lay this template over fabric and cut out lampshade cover.
- Arrange sequins on the cover in desired design. (We used multiple sizes and colors.) Pin sequins into place. Using coordinating thread, sew each sequin to cover with one or two stitches.
- Use spray adhesive to attach the cover to the shade. Fuse the overlapping ends using iron-on fusible tape. Add contrasting ribbon to the top and bottom edges of the shade using fusible tape.
