Editor's Notes

In the room that Brandon and Joel McCaughey share, painted waves splash across the walls for an at-sea feel. The wall treatment began with a straight line around the room where the two blues meet.

Designer Jodi Mensing crafted a template, aligned the bottom of it along the line between the blues, and traced the wave shape with a pencil. She used a small brush to outline each wave, then filled in the center with a larger brush.

More nautical details used in this all-boy room include: fishnet, rope, goldfish, life preservers, and flags, creating a themed look perfect for our two young pirates!

Find out more about this room in the Spring 2005 issue of Kids' Rooms magazine!
