Before and After: Just Add Art
More Ideas
When you hang pictures over a sofa, plan for the display to be about two-thirds the width of the sofa and about 6 inches above the sofa's back. If you're using several pieces, consider following the contour of the sofa back for a more interesting line.
Dare to hang pictures lower than you might think you should. Sandwiching this art photograph between the lampshade and the tabletop puts it at an intimate, seated eye level. The framed piece on the stack of books leads the eye directly to the photo.
Create a focal point by balancing one large piece with two smaller ones. Hang the pieces close together so the frames align (or nearly do) to allow the group to work as a unit. Prop a fourth piece against the poster to link the grouping to the bookcase.
