diana if you dont want to "decorate" your shelves then why are you reading a decorating web site?
8/17/2010 11:10:11 PM Report AbuseIt kills me that designers seem to overlook the basic function of bookshelves: to store books! I want space to store my vast collection in a sensible manner that showcases them and allows for easy retrieval. I don't care about selecting red books to highlight a color in my room, etc. And nothing irritates me more than to see a designer's room labelled Library when it holds maybe a dozen books that were clearly chosen for looks.
