By Kelly L. Phillips
Some designers use very thin wood veneer as lampshades, but designer Christopher Poehlmann created "real" fake wood pendent lamps using digital print technology to embed an image of bark within the surface of the acrylic shade -- letting the image and the light shine through. The faux bois effect looks quite realistic, because, well, the photographs are of real trees, shot by Poehlmann in his own yard.
