DIY Bracket Beauties

Add an easy embellishment to your kitchen island with these brackets.

Find old corbels at flea markets or salvage shops, or check out our online sources below.


Materials & Tools

Instructions
  1. Purchase salvaged brackets at a flea market or buy new ones and, if desired, distress them.
  2. Use wood glue to adhere the brackets under a countertop or breakfast bar and secure them with brads. Optional: Use clamps or masking tape to hold the brackets in place until the glue dries.
  3. Cover any brad holes with wood putty and touch up with paint or stain.
