Keeping the Character

When the homeowners bought their 1910 Craftsman, they loved the classic details of the beautiful built-ins, fluted casings, and original hardwood floors. Even with the generous room sizes they knew the house's original flow would need to be reworked to fit their lifestyle. Working with an architect they opened up the spaces, like the eat-in kitchen and adjacent family room, but kept the classic details.
