Room for All
Expansive space in a kitchen can be just as difficult to organize and maximize as tight boundaries. Here, a large center island helped to join the two separate sides of the room, preventing traffic patterns from becoming too wide and inefficient. With multiple levels, the island offers spots for eating, cooking, and working. One side of the room focuses on storage, with a tall unit of cabinets and doors, while the other offers drawers, uppers, and lots of workspace. The final side -- with the focus on windows and a multicolor backsplash -- offers more work and storage space, with elegant cherry cabinets and sleek surfaces.
