Desktop Mini Recipe Albums

Office supplies aren't just for the office! Transform an everyday card file into a cool recipe index.

Favorite Recipes

Instead of keeping your favorite recipes on plain white index cards, create a family keepsake. Using favorite dishes gathered over the years and on-hand pictures, cook up a recipe album to display on your kitchen shelf.

For each card, print the recipe on patterned paper and then adhere the papers to the front and back of a blank address card. Leah used simple embellishments -- nothing that would add too much bulk to the album -- so she opted for machine stitching and a single eyelet. For the title card, use a stencil and rub-ons, accented with more stitching, before adding an embossed brad.

Tip: Notching your cards is quick and easy with a Rolodex® card punch. Pick one up at an office supply store.
