These decorated tins make ideal gifts for anyone with something to hide -- like office supplies, kitchen gadgets, or a collection of receipts. You can scour flea markets for boxes, or check out a local crafts store. Then let your imagination run wild.
See below for our suggestions for personalizing your gift boxes.
- Purchase brightly painted metal containers and add appeal with magnetic letters and designs.
- Create your own magnets by purchasing magnetic strips and attaching printed letters or hand-drawn designs.
- Top your boxes with other flashy elements like paper flowers or a row of small magnetic colored blocks.
- Add file-drawer labels that announce the recipient's name or the contents (like a selection of hard candies).

Great idea! Also wrap & glue any cracker box, oatmeal containers, etc. w/material (any color/design)Like the tin idea, it's an easy family craft for age kid to Grandparent, not to mention a great form of recycling, using up old craft supplies(which frees up space) jazzes up any room, makes clean up for kids easier(everything has it's own custom box) AND saves money b/c we have no need to go buy little plastic storage containers!(that's one more point for the environment!)
