Bow-Making Basics

Make tantalizing napkin rings with
these pleated bows.

Pleated Bow

Make this easy bow when you are working with ribbon that is difficult to knot.

For a floral design, choose a
ribbon and match flowers to it.
Instructions:

1. Starting on the smallest top loop, fold the tail under so that it is a little more than half the length of the first loop.


2. Continue folding the ribbon back and forth, making each successive loop slightly larger. End the bow with the tail of the ribbon tucked under on the bottom side.


3. Place a staple in the center of the ribbon. Using a contrasting ribbon, wrap it around the center of the bow, and secure it with double-sided tape or a dab of hot glue.
