Ribbon Tea Roses Project

Satin-ribbon flowers are perfect for floral designs and corsages. They also make lovely gifts and accessories.

Tea roses dazzle as a centerpiece.

Step 1: Petals

What You Need:
  • Keep 2 yards of wired, non-wired, silk, ombré (two-tone), velvet, cross weave or solid ribbon at home
  • Milliner's sharp size 10 needle
  • White quilting thread or beading thread
  • Sharp sewing scissors

Dipped corner petals look soft,
satiny and perfect on ribbon roses.
Instructions:
  1. Fold the ribbon in half and take a few stitches at the edges.
  2. Turn the ribbon inside out and keep the corners tucked in.
  3. Pleat the bottom of the petal and secure it with stitches.
