Bud Vases

These delicate vases make delightful gifts for guests.

What You Need:

  • Transfer paper
  • Assorted clean small glass bottles
  • Delta PermEnamel paint: Citrus Yellow #45005 (CY), Dark Goldenrod #45042 (DG), Eggplant #45045 (EP), Fuchsia #45013 (FU), Sea Foam Green #45027 (SG), Tropical Purple #45030 (TP), True Green #45012 (TG), Ultra Black #45034 (UB), and Ultra White #45029 (UW)
  • Paintbrushes: Small round and small flat shader
  • Delta PermEnamel clear gloss glaze
  • Stylus
  • Sheer ribbon

Instructions:
Hollyhocks Bottle:

  1. Using a small shader brush, base-coat the neck of the bottle FU. Base-coat the body of the bottle TP.
  2. Paint alternating UB and SG stripes around the bottom edges of the bottle. Mix UW and FU, and use a round brush to dab on irregular spots of color for the hollyhocks. Mix TB, SG, and UW and dab on spots of color to paint the leaves.
  3. Mix a small amount of TG with UB, and paint the flower stems. Using the tip if a brush handle dipped in UB, paint dots on the bottle.
  4. Seal the bottles with clear gloss glaze, and let them dry. Tie an 8-inch length of ribbon around the neck of each bottle.
