Getting Started

• Construction paper
• Scissors
• Markers
• Glue

• The best way to make a heart is to fold construction paper in half and draw the shape of a whale, using the crease in the paper as the bottom of the whale. Then cut along the line you've drawn.
• Arrange hearts of different sizes together to make the animals. Make some of your own creations, too. Experiment with folding and cutting the hearts and turning them in different directions.
• Arrange the shapes the way you want them before you start to glue.
