Sew AA together (4 times). Sew B to each side of AA unit (2 times). Sew AA unit to each side of B. Stitch BAAB to AABAA, then add second BAAB. Sew to left side of C. Make three star and stripe units. Stitch three units together to complete the block.

 

This quilt is designed to be a full-size quilt measuring 78 x 96 inches. We have used the 3-inch Stars and Stripes border.

This border is 3 inches wide and has a 3-inch repeat. For each star unit, sew A to A (4 times). Rows 1 and 3 -- Sew B to AA; add B (2 times). Row 2 -- Sew AA to B; add AA. Sew Rows 1, 2, and 3 together to make one star unit. Make star units for the desired length of the quilt. Add a CCC unit to each corner.
