What You'll Need:
  • 1 yard of Fabric A (Refer to Fabric Key below)
  • 2 1/4 yards of Fabric B
  • 2 1/4 yards of Fabric C
  • 2 1/4 yards of Fabric F
  • Lightweight fusible web
  • Two packages of snap-on grommet covers
  • 2 1/4 yards of instant curtain tape

Fabric Key:
  • Fabric A: Large circle print
  • Fabric B: Solid orange
  • Fabric C: Abstract rectangle print
  • Fabric D: Solid rose
  • Fabric E: Small rose pink circles on beige background
  • Fabric F: Dark red, pink, gold, and green plaid

Instructions:

Quantities specified are for 52/54"-wide decorator fabrics. All measurements include 1/2" seam allowances unless otherwise noted. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.

Cut the fabrics: 1. To make the best use of your fabrics, cut the pieces in the order that follows. The fabrics were cut widthwise to eliminate the need for piecing the fabrics to obtain the finished width.

  • From Fabric B, cut widthwise: 1 - 76 x 52" rectangle
  • From Fabric F, cut widthwise: 1 - 76 x 3" rectangle
  • From Fabric C, cut widthwise: 1 - 76 x 26" rectangle

Cut the Circles 1. To use fusible web for appliquéing, follow these steps.

2. Use a pencil to trace two 18" circles, three 12" circles, and four 9" circles onto the paper side of the lightweight fusible web, leaving 1/2" between tracings. Cut out each piece roughly 1/4" outside the traced lines.

3. Following the manufacturer's instructions, press the fusible web circles onto the back of Fabric A; let cool. Cut out along the drawn lines; peel off the paper backings.

Assemble the Curtain 1. Serge or clean-finish one 76" edge of the Fabric B panel; designate this edge as the top.

2. Following the fusible web instructions, fuse the circles to the Fabric B panel, allowing a 7" space along the top for ring placement. Using a machine satin-stitch, stitch the circles along the outside edge to the panel.

3. Sew the Fabric F 76 x 3" rectangle to the bottom raw edge of the Fabric B 76 x 52" rectangle; sew the Fabric C 76 x 26" rectangle to the opposite edge of the Fabric F panel. Fold and press a 1" hem along each side edge and the bottom edge; sew in place.

4. Fold and press a 3 1/2" hem along the top edge. Space 16 rings of curtain tape across the back of the top pressed edge according to the manufacturer's instructions; pin in place. Topstitch the rings in place.

5. Cut the fabric out from inside the grommet holes. Snap the grommet covers onto the front. Fold and press a 1/2" hem along the bottom edge; sew in place.

The shower curtain measures 74" square.
