Use a computer font on your
sewing machine or choose
a commercially available book or
program.

• 80-inch length of fleece
• Marcia's Heavy Weight Water-Soluble Film or Ultra Solvy
• double-sided tape

1. Clip the ends of the 80-inch fleece at 1-1/4-inch intervals. Tie each length into a single-loop knot, tying in the same direction.

2. Hoop one layer of Marcia's Heavy Weight Water-Soluble Film or Ultra Solvy. Mark the fleece and the hopped film or Ultra Solvy for placement.

3. Place a piece of double-sided tape away from the stitching area, along the top and bottom of the hopped stabilizer (tape holds the fleece until it can be basted securely).

4. Align and place the blanket on the hopped stabilizer. Lay stabilizer on the fleece, baste, and sew the design. Place the fleece on top of the hoped stabilizer to prevent hoop burn.

5. Remove basting stitches, tear away the stabilizer. Remaining stabilizer will wash away when laundered.
