Dish Towel Curtains

Dress up a kitchen window -- and gain storage space to boot -- when you hang an open-slat shelf halfway up the window. Use the back slat of the shelf as a rod for curtains made from dish towels folded to length and attached with drapery clips. If you like, swap out the towels with the season.
