I've never been able to stand wearing things below the waist line, so I'm with the others here who say 'wear an apron where it's meant to be worn'. If you're wearing it for other than fashion sake. That said, in my area, a lot of young women are wearing aprons as fashion, over jeans, over tees, not as a 'working' piece.

I agree with all the others. These aprons are not practical. If you are going to wear it on your hips you might as well leave if off. What has happened that women don't want to show off their waistlines anymore?

Why do women/girls think aprons should be worn on their hips? Your waist is higher!!!!

We need THUMBNAILS so we don't have to go ONE by ONE through this maze of slides to see if there's something we'd like to consider. Most of these aprons are NOT practical/useful,(and I think of BHG as being more fashion-wise).

I got a great pattern from my favorite quilt shop, Pine Tree Quilt Shop in Salem, NH. It is called Patio Partner reversible apron by Piecing Harmony, LLC of Andover NH. with nice big pockets and your full coverage style with tie strings and adjustable neck with D ring. I used "Bistro" fabric by moda. It has coffee cups etc on it. It came out great. My niece who is 23 wants one too, in more funky fabric.

Take a look at the retro aprons on the Simplicity website. 2592 and 2555 are pretty nice for the look we all would appreciate.

I agree. The below the waist aprons are for looks only. I would like to see a pattern for the old fashioned type my mother used to wear with bib and ties.

Again, these aprons placed below the waist aren't going to do a very good job of protecting our clothes from grease and other things that soil our clothes. Apron that cover our clothes protect better.

I don't think this apron would keep clothes clean very well because it's too low on the body. Aprons need to be placed higher on the body to protect our clothes from grease, dirt, etc.
