Boxwood Globes
Sprigs and floral foam make miniature trees.

Boxwood Globes
These wonderful little boxwood topiaries will look green and pretty for at least one month. And, you might even love the color they become as they dry.
1. Gather materials. You'll need florist's foam, sheet moss, boxwood sprigs, a bamboo stick, and a pot. If you don't have boxwood bushes to clip, you can order it through your local florist.
2. Set forms. Use a paring knife to cut florist's foam into the shapes you want. For tree shapes, carve the base of a pyramid to fit snugly in a pot. Set foam globes on the surface of pots. To make a topiary, slip a bamboo stick through the foam shape and into foam in the pot. Boxwood sprigs increase the shape's size.

3. Add sprigs. Insert 2-inch boxwood sprigs into the soaked foam. It will take a while to cover a form, but it's a pleasant task because of the boxwood aroma.
4. To keep the topiary fresh and green, the florist's foam should always be damp. Mist the topiary daily. Occasionally remove the topiary form from the pot and soak the form in water.
